New Blog
I begin classes on Wednesday. It’s hard to believe that after all the planning that went in to going back to school, I am about to begin. The end is within sight (only 6 quarters left!)
During my time at The Fisher College of Business, I will be documenting my experience on this blog as well as the Fisher Grad Life Blog. Please check out the Grad Life Blog because the other contributors will certainly have a more enlightened perspective on the events I write about than I. :-)

Housekeeping
I’ve been home from Dublin for a week now. Unfortunately, I’ve spent the better part of this week moving into a new place and therefore had little time to get to the blog. In fact, I didn’t get cable and internet service until just this morning.
The latest with the blog:
- I noticed I was having some problems with spammers on the comments, so I added CAPTCHA this morning.
- I still have a few things about Dublin (and Ireland in general) that I want to blog on. I will be adding those this week (as I get pictures from other people).
- Over the next two weeks I will be traveling to Florida (Disneyworld!) and Washington, D.C. before beginning orientation for business school. I’ll be sure to touch on all that here.
Cheers.

Hello World
This website has been a long time coming. I recently left my job as a software engineer to start my MBA full time—it was as good of a time as any to start a blog as well as a place to share photos link and other information.
This site is built on the open-source content management system (CMS) Drupal. I’ve been working down the learning curve of this exciting technology and I intend to document some of what I’ve learned about this (and possibly other CMS’s) on the blog. I also plan to touch on:
-
Computing—Including Software and Social Media topics
-
Drum Corps
-
Photography—Including the Canon Hack Development Kit (CHDK) and Underwater Photography
-
Scuba Diving
-
Travel
One note on the last topic: as part of my MBA I am participating in the Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program by working on a consulting project in Dublin, Ireland. I leave in a week and intend to blog about the country, culture and business environment.
Please check back or subscribe to follow my adventure.
